A height safety system is only safe if it has been inspected recently. Anchors corrode, fixings loosen, roofs get altered and records get lost. Under AS/NZS 1891.4, roof anchors and fall arrest systems should be inspected at least every 12 months.
We inspect height safety systems on strata, commercial and industrial buildings across Sydney. Each anchor and line is checked, load tested where the standard or manufacturer requires it, tagged with the inspection date and recorded in a report with photos.
If something fails, it is tagged out of service on the day and we explain what is needed to fix it.

Questions about anchor point inspections
Is an annual anchor inspection a legal requirement?
Work health and safety law requires anyone in control of a workplace to make sure fall protection is safe to use. AS/NZS 1891.4 sets out inspection at least every 12 months, and insurers and strata managers usually expect a current certificate.
How long does an inspection take?
Most residential roofs take a few hours. Large commercial roofs or systems with many anchors can take longer. You get the report and certificate shortly after.
What does load testing involve?
A hydraulic tester applies a set load to the anchor to confirm it holds without movement or damage. It is done where the manufacturer or the standard calls for it.
Can you inspect a system someone else installed?
Yes. We inspect most common anchor and static line systems, and will tell you if a product needs the original manufacturer or installer involved.
